The company says that no bettor can win such a sum, in a statement made public.

For a few days, a young man with a masked face declares on social networks to have made a gain of 13 billion 650 million FCFA and this, thanks to a bet of 90 FCFA on a coupon of 36 football matches offered by the betting house "1XBET" in the city of Yaoundé. He also accuses the sports betting house of refusing to pay his supposed gain, offering him instead 400 million CFA francs.

However, according to the company, "a maximum payout for a bet made is equal to 600,000 (six hundred thousand) euros. This would give for a player on Cameroonian territory, a little more than 393 million FCFA, "can be read in the statement published by RUNBET-SA. Therefore, "no player can come and claim afterwards, 13 billion, regardless of his combinations upstream and the results of the matches on which the bets have been made, downstream. Any request to this effect therefore remains unfounded," the note said. The company calls the claim "Fake news […] aimed at tarnishing the image of the betting company 1XBET".
