In an official letter, the prefect Aboloa Timothe of this locality urges the teachers to resume classes.

The school is on lockdown in Ekondo-Titi, a commune in the Southwest, according to information relayed by Politudenews. Nine days after the explosion in a school in this locality that killed 4 students and a French teacher on November 24, 2021, the prefect of Ekondo Titi, Aboloa Timothe urges teachers to resume classes.

According to the site, the resumption of classes is still not effective because teachers and learners are afraid of becoming the target of crossfire between separatist fighters and law enforcement. Nevertheless, the head of land invited the heads of schools to convene general assemblies in their establishments before the end of the year holidays.

While so far no group has claimed responsibility for the assassination, the prefect of Ekondo-titi held a crisis meeting with Defense Ministry officials and school heads in the aftermath of the bomb attack. At the end of this meeting, elements of the security forces were deployed on the ground to secure the area and track down the unknown perpetrators of these acts, we learn from the same site.
