They were recently apprehended in Yaoundé by elements of the Centre's Regional Division of the Judicial Police (DRPJ).

There are six of them and they were masters in the robbery of schools and places of worship. Their modus operandi was to recognize the targets beforehand. Then, under the leadership of their leader, they neutralized the guards by surprise. Before breaking into the offices of the officials in search of their loot. But for a few days, they have been in dirty sheets. The elements of the Regional Division of the Judicial Police (DRPJ) of the Center in Yaoundé have just ended their race after two months of hunting.

Indeed, a gang of six thugs aged between 27 and 42, as well as a receiver, fell into the cracks of the police a short time ago. They are in the process of being referred to the public prosecutor's office to answer for their actions. According to Divisional Commissioner Emane Emane quoted by Cameroon Tribune, it all begins on the night of September 24 to 25, 2021. The six suspects, hooded, equipped with machetes, knives and nail pullers, burst into the compound of the Cameroonian Presbyterian Church of Messa II. After tying up and gagging the security guard, they break into the pastors' offices and apartment. The wife of one of the pastors, panicked, fell from upstairs, and escaped with several fractures in the leg and pelvis.

The suspects will take away computers, mobile phones and a large sum of money. "Our unit has received a host of complaints from different structures that have been victims of similar events. The very high hierarchy then instructed us to do everything possible to find and arrest the suspects. In execution of these directives, my unit immediately began investigations and extensive research," said the head of the Drpj of the Center.

This resulted in the arrest of the first suspect. His exploitation will make it possible to get his hands on his acolytes. They confessed and admitted to having successively robbed a dozen structures such as the Petou II School Complex located in the Awae district, the Lady Bird school group in Tropicana and the Catholic Mission of Nkoabang.
