The Swiss MSC has made an offer to buy 3,738 billion FCFA to the French group.

The Bolloré group announces that it has received an offer of 5.7 billion euros or 3733.5 billion FCFA from Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) for the acquisition of 100% of Bolloré Africa logistics according to the statement made public by the French logistics giant.

The group led by Cyrille Bolloré announces that it "grants exclusivity to the MSC group until March 31, 2022 so that the latter can, at the end of a complementary audit phase and contractual negotiations, hand over to it, if necessary a promise to purchase," says the company. The French group also stresses that "The completion of this sale would then be subject to obtaining regulatory authorizations and the agreement of the competent competition authorities," the company said.

Bolloré Africa Logistics, is the leader in transport and logistics in Africa. The Bolloré Group subsidiary has a network of 250 subsidiaries and nearly 21,000 employees in 49 countries, including 47 in Africa. In Cameroon, the French logistician has been present since 1947. In 2019, Bolloré lost the concession of the Douala container terminal to the Swiss group Terminal investment limited.
