The concessionaire Energy of Cameroon (Eneo) announces that it has invested 2 billion CFA francs to improve its electricity supply during the African Cup of Nations which begins in less than four weeks. This amount comes from the envelope of 100 billion CFA francs mobilized by the company on the local banking market last February, we learn from the newspaper Ecomatin.
In detail, this investment has allowed Eneo to update the supply lines in stadiums, hospitals and the various venues of the competition. "The investments related to the CAN which are the departures, the rescues, and which do not concern only the hospitals, but also the customers. We are in the process of creating departures from the Kondengui post, we are in the process of taking over the entire southern part of Yaoundé on the new Nomayos post. Roughly speaking, if we evaluate this, we are around 2 billion FCFA," said Issou Babba, technical director of the Yaoundé region.
