According to the Cameroon Banana Association (Assobacam), these figures are up 15.09% compared to the same period last year.

In November 2021, 19,340 tons of bananas were exported by Cameroon, compared to 16,498 tons in the same period in 2020, an estimated increase of 15.09%. These figures were published by the Banana Association of Cameroon (Assobacam), we learn from the site Invest in Cameroon.

This performance was achieved by the Plantations du Haut Penja (PHP) and the Cameroon Development Corporation (CDC). Indeed, PHP exported 16,899 tons of bananas against 14,463 in 2020, an increase of 2,436 tons. As for the CDC, the company records 1337 tons of bananas this year against 732 tons in 2020, an upward trend of 605 tons between 2018-2020 (+45.25%). Exports that are not significant enough that are linked to the cessation of activities of public agro-industrial since September 2018 due to the Anglophone crisis.
