A balance sheet made public on December 14 by a report of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.

More than 15,000 people have been forced to move within the country to flee violence between Arab Choas and Mousgoums/Massa communities, according to the report published on 14 December 2021 by the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA). In detail, the UN organization reports that about 11,500 are distributed in the department of Logone and Chari and about 3,500 in the department of Diamaré. In addition, 30,000 people have found refuge in Chad.

To date, calm has relatively returned to the localities of the Far North. The toll of the clashes started on December 5 between fishermen and shepherds in Logone-Birni have left about twenty dead, 110 injured with fires of houses, shops and markets reported in at least 40 localities. Last Tuesday, these internally displaced people received food aid and kits.
