The governor of the Far North region is at the bedside of the quarreling communities.

Calm is relatively established, after four days of clashes between Arab Choas herders and Mousgoum fishermen in Kousseri informs Midjiyawa Bakary, governor of the Far North region. Clashes between the two communities broke out on Sunday 5 December between fishermen and shepherds in Logone-Birni in the Far North of the country. The clashes continued on Wednesday, December 8, leaving about twenty dead and more than 30,000 displaced to neighboring Chad. a situation that prompted the President of Chad's Transitional Military Council to call on the international community to act on behalf of refugees. The government mission led by Governor Midjiyawa Bakary concludes tomorrow, December 12, 2021.
