Invited on the vision4 television channel this Saturday, the president of the Patriotic and Republican Alliance (APAR) at the same time expressed his regret at the non-participation of the Movement for the Renaissance of Cameroon (MRC) in the municipal and legislative elections of February 2020. "I don't see why, for the advancement of people's living conditions, we don't go to elections," he said.
During the program, the former militant of Maurice Kamto's party did not hesitate to tackle the MRC in passing. "At APAR it is not sheep following as in the MRC. Maurice Kamto is the pope of inconsistency," he said.
A long-time figure of the SDF, Célestin Djamen left this party on the eve of the 2018 presidential elections, in favor of the MRC. He later dissociated himself from Maurice Kamto to create his own political party APAR.
He would criticize the MRC for not having participated in the 2020 regionals. Its leader, Maurice Kamto, would force its members to follow politics. According to him, the role of a political party is to run at all elections. He must take part in the discussions in the dedicated arenas. This certainly explains the reasons for his break with this party.
