A mixed search of gendarmes and prison guards conducted yesterday, December 19, resulted in the seizure of this loot.
A cell in New Bell Prison was combed through yesterday, December 18. Elements of the mobile invention group (GMI) accompanied by the guards of the New-Bell prison in Douala have got their hands on the sum of 15 million FCFA, held by a prisoner, reports the whistleblower Nzui Manto.
The said prisoner, sentenced to death, hid this large sum in his cell and was allegedly betrayed by a fellow detainee, according to Nzui Manto's information. So far, no note from the competent authorities refers to this finding.
