In a statement published on November 29, the national secretary for communication of the CRM castigates the boycott actions carried out on behalf of the party against these influencers by the activists of the Anti-Sardinard Brigade (BAS).
The Movement for the Renaissance of Cameroon (MRC) condemns the boycott actions undertaken by members of the Anti-Sardinard Brigade (BAS) that have disrupted the activities of Cameroonians Nathalie Koah and Muriel Blanche in Europe. "It comes back to us that individuals claiming to be from a group of activists based in Europe and presenting themselves as supporters of Professor Maurice KAMTO disrupted the activities of two Cameroonian women in France, namely Nathalie KOAH and Muriel Blanche under the false pretext that they were not involved in Cameroon's liberation struggle. We are pleased to see that other activists have dissociated themselves from these actions that do not honor the fight they claim to be waging." wrote Joseph Emmanuel Atena, national secretary for communication of the MRC in a statement published on November 29.
He insists that: "The RCN has never asked anyone to impose the fight on others on its behalf in any way. Even more, the CRM is against violence wherever it comes from. We have deliberately chosen change in peace. This is precisely why we insist on the consensual reform of the electoral system, or at least of the electoral code, in order to allow credible and transparent elections in our country," it reads.
He adds that: "The CRM has never claimed to be the director of conscience of anyone and cannot accept that its image or that of its President is associated with people or actions that do not correspond to its values of justice, freedom, peace and tolerance. The one and only opponent of the CRM is the current regime which, through policies contrary to the interests of the nation, causes immense suffering to the people such as this war in the North-West and South-West regions which entail heavy human losses on a daily basis".
As a reminder, last weekend, some BAS activists launched a call for a boycott of the events organized by Nathalie Koah and Muriel Blanche respectively in Paris and Brussels, and where some of the guests were floured. Turmoil that pushed Muriel Blanche to cancel her activities in the capital of Belgium. BAS activists accuse these two popular women of remaining silent in the face of the killings perpetrated in the North-West and South-West regions.
