The Confederation of African Football has just unveiled the draw for the qualifiers for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire.
The continent is gearing up for the next Africa Cup of Nations, following Senegal’s triumph at the most recent edition on Cameroonian soil. To this end, CAF has just published the draws for the competition’s qualifiers. The governing body has drawn up four pools based on the latest FIFA rankings.
Cameroon is in Pot 1 alongside eleven other nations, including the host country, Senegal, Mali and Algeria. The draw ceremony is scheduled for April 19. The 48 contenders for the 2023 CAF Africa Cup of Nations finals will be divided into 12 groups of four teams. The top two teams in each group will qualify for the continental tournament in Côte d’Ivoire.

Group 1: Senegal, Morocco, Nigeria, Egypt, Tunisia, Cameroon, Algeria, Mali, Côte d’Ivoire (host), Burkina Faso, Ghana and DR Congo.
Group 2: South Africa, Cape Verde, Guinea, Gabon, Benin, Uganda, Zambia, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Madagascar, Kenya and Sierra Leone
