The politician is challenging the health protocol imposed on fans to access stadiums during the CAN 2021.
The president of the Cameroonian Party for National Reconciliation (PCRN) Cabral Libii has shown his indignation after the publication of the health protocol yesterday, December 16, by the Confederation of African Football and the Cameroonian authorities.
According to the politician, "It is inadmissible to require the vaccine AND the test (PCR of less than 72 hours or RDT of less than 24 hours) of Covid 19, to attend the meetings of the CAN. This is excessive, unfair and contemptuous of the Cameroonian people," he said in a tweet. For the MEP, access to the stadiums should besubject to the presentation of either a vaccination card or a PCR test.
The joint communiqué signed by the Cameroonian Minister in charge of sports, the Minister of Public Health, the Secretary General of CAF and the First Vice-President of FECAFOOT indicates that "The CAN can and must promote the rigorous adherence of participants and supporters to all the barrier measures known and developed to date to fight against said viruses: hand washing and disinfection, physical distancing, proper mask wearing and vaccination."
