The decision of the land chief took effect yesterday until February 15, 2022.

The prefect of the fako department, Ledoux Emmanuel Engamba signed an order prohibiting any form of nocturnal ceremonies in his command unit. The decision took effect on December 15 and will be in effect until February 15. "This measure, whose purpose is to guarantee the safety of the population in this delicate period, concerns all other social gatherings," justifies the head of land.

Indeed, the period in question includes the end of the year celebrations and the African Cup of Nations (CAN) which takes place from January 9 to February 6, 2022. In the aftermath, the administrative authority, prohibits the sale and use of toy guns and fireworks, in order to avoid any accident.

A measure that comes after the explosion of a homemade bomb at the art fair of Buea last Sunday. An incident occurred around 11 p.m., causing ten serious injuries and material damage.
