The regional council of the North-West region plans to carry it out in the capital for next fiscal year.

The North-West Regional Assembly wants to build a dry port in the city of Bamenda as early as 2022. According to the head of the finance committee of this assembly, this infrastructure will allow traders who go to port cities (Douala, Kribi) for the customs clearance of their goods, to do so rather in the capital of the region.

According to information relayed by the Stopblablacam website, yesterday, December 22, the North-West Regional Assembly adopted a budget of just over 3 billion CFA francs for its operation and the implementation of development projects in the region.

Earlier this year, the construction of a dry port with an area of 2,300 hectares was announced in the city of Edéa. Dry port is meant;  a land terminal with a direct commercial and logistical link with a seaport.
